JEE Main 2017Three Dimensional Geometry Question with Solution

JEE Main 2017 (08 Apr Online)

Question

The line of intersection of the planes r 3i^-j^+ k^=1 and r i^+4j^-2k^=2, is,

Choose an option

Show full solutionCorrect option: C
Correct answer
Cx-6132=y-513-7=z-13

Step-by-step explanation

n= n1×n2

= i^j^k^3-1114-2

= i^ -2-j^-7+k^13

n=-2i+7j^+13k^

Now equations of plane are

3x-y+z=1 and

x+4y-2z=2

Let, z=0

 3x-y=1

 x+4y=2

 13x=6

x=613 and

y=513

 Equation of required line is,

x-613-2=y-5137=z-013

or

x-6132=y-513-7=z-13
